Electrical Tape
Electrical tape is a type of pressure sensitive tape used to insulate electrical wires and other material that conduct electricity. It can be made of many plastics, but vinyl is most popular. It stretches well and gives an effective and long lasting insulation. True electrical tape must be certified to not catch fire or burn when overheated. Electrical tape may also be called PVC electrical insulation tape, insulating tape, or friction tape.
Athletes and musicians have their own uses for electrical tape. Players on rugby teams have been known to tape their ears back to prevent cuts and abrasions. Drummers in marching bands use the colored tape to wrap their drum sticks.
